As we welcome the New Year, let us tell you some of the exciting things happening for 2010.

Competitions: We have another schedule of monthly competitions for you, enhanced by a number of totally open themes and the introduction of external judges for some of the competitions.

GNPC had a good showing at the EAF Projected Image Championship on the 14th February with 141 points but failed to make its way into the final 10. Although this was disappointing it has provided some guidance for future competitions and was a useful experience. Time to hone those skills for the future challenges.

Strobists: A special interest group for "strobists" (flashguns) where a number of the members are fining tuning their skills with outdoor shots during the winter months.

Trips out: Undaunted by the winter weather, the club still maintains a healthy selection of trips out to exercise members photgraphic skills.

Exhibition: The club will be holding an exhibition of members photos in the Gallery area of Braintree Library between the 7th April and 4th May 2010. We expect to Exhibit about 40 shots from all members of the club.

Shop Window: GNPC has a set up in a shop window in George Yard (Unit 16) between the 19th February and 5th March 2010. There was quite a bit interest from passers by as we were setting it up and details of the club were given to two men who lingered longer than normal, we hope to see them on the 24th February. Please take the opportunity to have a look at the display and thanks to Trudie for pulling it all together.
